About The Position

The Safety Administrator provides critical administrative, analytical, and program support to the EHS function. As the organization's safety data lead, this role transforms fleet metrics, event reviews, and field observations into actionable insights. By managing comprehensive regulatory compliance and accurate recordkeeping, the position strengthens program effectiveness and drives a world-class culture of proactive hazard prevention.

Requirements

  • Analytical Data Interpretation: Leverage strong analytical skills to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive proactive risk reduction.
  • Precision Documentation: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and integrity of audit-ready safety records and compliance files.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Utilize effective written and verbal communication to deliver clear safety narratives and metrics to various levels of the organization.
  • System & Priority Management: Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tracking systems simultaneously while effectively balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven Safety Expertise: One to three years of demonstrated experience in supporting safety, fleet, or compliance programs.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA, OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (Construction Standards), ANSI standards, and current industry best practices.
  • Digital Proficiency: High level of competence in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook) for data analysis, reporting, and training development.
  • Fleet Readiness: Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate company vehicles in diverse environments.
  • Compliance & Reliability: Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional workspace by meeting all pre-employment and ongoing screening requirements, including background and drug testing.
  • Educational Foundation: Completion of a High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional safety certifications or specialized training is preferred.
  • Advanced Safety Certifications: Possession of, or the ability to obtain, professional credentials such as OSHA CHSO or SSH, or BCSP (STSC/CHST).
  • Specialized Technical Training: Demonstrated expertise and the ability to certify personnel in high-risk disciplines, including Confined Space Entry, Driver Safety, and Fall Protection.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships to align operations with company policies and local, state, and federal safety standards.
  • Maintain a structured digital and physical SDS library, ensuring all chemical documentation is current, organized, and audit-ready across all office locations.
  • Facilitate regulatory compliance workflows, including medical certifications and post-hire requirements, to ensure personnel readiness in alignment with applicable FMCSA regulations.
  • Facilitate comprehensive event reviews for both vehicular and operational near-misses and incidents, supporting root-cause investigations and the development of corrective actions.
  • Monitor safety technology platforms to analyze behavioral trends and address equipment issues in real-time.
  • Manage external reports, maintaining secure, audit-ready records to support long-term trend analysis.
  • Audit fleet vehicle inspections and deficiency logs, verifying that corrective actions are completed to eliminate mechanical hazards in alignment with company’s Zero Harm philosophy.
  • Translate field data and inspection trends into formal safety observations to drive continuous improvement in safety standards.
  • Maintain centralized tracking systems and electronic logs, ensuring organizational alignment with EHS policies and applicable FMCSA regulations.
  • Compile and present safety performance metrics, providing leadership with high-level visibility into enterprise-wide risk.
  • Identify emerging operational risks through data analysis to support the development of new safety initiatives and training.
  • Conduct Risk Evaluations: Perform regular safety inspections and audits to evaluate potential hazards and recommend actionable solutions to minimize risk.
  • Adapt to Operational Needs: Perform additional duties as assigned by the management team to support the overall safety and health objectives of the company.
