About The Position

Valtir is hiring a Safety Admin City, Alabama! Starting pay $19 - $21 per hour based on experience and knowledge. Under the direction of the the Safety Manager Safety Admin will perform daily safety functions as assigned. What You'll Do: Perform daily employee spot audits and monthly housekeeping audits Update and maintain training records in database Collect suggestions and record on the suggestion form Scan toolbox talk topics into portal Update safety training Matrix Transport employees to clinic as needed Conduct environmental sampling and prepare reports Serve as backup for safety training classes Provide proficiency training for forklifts, sky jacks, electric pallet jacks, cranes, etc. Assist with the implementation of new safety initiatives as directed Assist with suggestion projects as directed Perform daily shop floor safety walks Complete training to become a first respond

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Minimum of two years experience in safety in a production manufacturing environment highly desirable
Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
Communicate using verbal and/or written instructions and be comfortable with public speaking
Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, bills of material
Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
Use the basic functions of a computer with good keyboard skills
Work schedules shift hours, including overtime as required
Comprehend hazardous material warning labels and instructions, and plant safety rules
Must be able to read a tape measure
Must use all required safety equipment
