About The Position

Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn is seeking a full-time, non-exempt School Age Child Care (SACC) Administrative Assistant to provide support with the daily operations of the SACC program. This position is crucial for ensuring a smooth and welcoming environment for youth, families, staff, and partners by offering administrative, clerical, and operational support to program staff. The SACC Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and coordination support to the SACC Program Director and team, overseeing various organizational and communication tasks. This role requires accuracy, a high standard of work, and timely completion of duties, including handling confidential and time-sensitive material.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a youth-focused discipline, human services, or another related field (or two years of relevant experience).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in administrative work, education, facilitation, or youth development.
  • Demonstrates experience in providing direct support or intervention services to K-12 youth in a structured environment.
  • Proven ability to build rapport, gain trust, and foster positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.
  • Possess strong organizational and supervisory skills in managing daily administrative operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and other office tools to conduct day-to-day administrative duties.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across the organization's departments as an effective and active team player.
  • Ability to work on-site at the Lynn Center.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent in multiple languages (English, English/Spanish, Haitian Creole/English, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages front desk operations, greets visitors and handles inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate staff during program hours.
  • Assists program staff with checking youth in and out of the daily program.
  • Provides front-facing support to parents by collecting fees.
  • Oversees the coordination of snack menus, deliveries, and the distribution schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming physical space to create a strong first impression for youth, families, and guests.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
