About The Position
Rx Refill Specialists ensure the timely processing of chronic medication refills by completing accurate prescription refill request processing and prior authorization processing (if applicable). The Refill specialist functions within the guidelines outlined in the John Muir Health Physician Network (JMHPN) chronic medication Standardized Procedure and protocols.
Requirements
- Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program OR Completion of Medical Assistant Program – Accredited
- 3 years' Medication refill and prior authorization processing
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Certificate of completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program OR Pharmacy Tech license in good standing- California Board of Pharmacy
- Typing and computer proficiency skills
Nice To Haves
- 3 years' Experience in Pharmacy
- CPhT Pharmacy Technician - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
