About The Position

We are seeking a qualified RVT Sonographer for immediate placement in our Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Cranberry Township, PA. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, cardiac catheterization; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus. The RVT Sonographer will provide ultrasound images and related data to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of disorders affecting the vascular system. This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights and weekend shifts. Access Center hours Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Requirements

  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
  • Credentialed Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • 2 years’ experience in non-invasive vascular ultrasound testing
  • 1 year experience with specific diagnostic protocol in lower extremity evaluation
  • Experience with diagnostic protocol expertise for vein mapping, dialysis access assessment and venous insufficiency
  • Associates degree

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, cardiac catheterization
  • experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus
  • RVT Sonographer: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Scrub: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinical assessment and all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by physician including peripheral arterial disease and upper extremity vein mapping for dialysis access
  • Performs preliminary reports and communicates findings to the appropriate physician according to established procedures
  • Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies
  • Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required
  • Participates in community education activities regarding access center
