About The Position

As Station Manager, you'll be the captain of the ship, owning the day-to-day operations of the Las Vegas station. This includes leading the team, ensuring the fleet is in top shape, and making sure every customer has a positive experience. You will also be responsible for tracking quality scores, analyzing performance data, and making cost-conscious decisions to optimize station performance. The role involves managing station operations, performance, quality, team leadership, fleet management, and customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience in a manager or supervisory role — car rental, tourism, or hospitality preferred.
  • A data-driven mindset: comfortable reading KPIs, spotting trends, and making decisions backed by numbers.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of OSHA, Microsoft Office and wage & hour labor laws.
  • Experience leading and building high-performance teams.
  • Resilient problem-solving abilities and highly organized.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills in English to interact effectively with a global customer base.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Must be 21+ with a valid in state driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must complete OSHA certifications within 90 days of hire.
  • Open availability to work weekends and holidays based on business needs.
  • Candidates must present and maintain a clear motor vehicle record and successfully pass a background check.
  • Must complete Form I-9 and participate in E-Verify to verify eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously lead and establish station operations, collaborating closely with headquarters to manage day-to-day activities on-site.
  • Implement existing standards and processes while contributing your own ideas to improve vehicle returns, handovers, and preparation.
  • Maintain constant communication with international teams to ensure ongoing optimization across all roadsurfer locations.
  • Own your station's Service Quality Score (SQS) — roadsurfer's core KPI that measures customer experience through post-rental surveys.
  • Monitor and act on the two pillars of SQS: Fleet Care Quality (van cleanliness and technical condition) and Customer Care Quality (staff friendliness and pickup wait times).
  • Analyze performance data and trends to identify gaps and implement strategies to get — and stay — above target.
  • Motivate and guide your on-site team, including onboarding, task planning, and quality control.
  • Manage a team structure with both Core Team members (year-round) and a Flex Team (seasonal) brought on during peak season to support high-demand periods.
  • Build staffing plans that balance full operational coverage with cost efficiency and service quality.
  • Source and recruit the right talent to build and maintain a high-performing station team.
  • Oversee the local vehicle fleet for rental: documentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and coordination with local service partners.
  • Ensure every van leaving the lot meets roadsurfer's standards.
  • Advise customers on our campers and deliver a friendly, efficient check-in and check-out experience.
  • Send every customer out as a happy roadsurfer — ready to surf the roads of the USA.
