About The Position

Blue Compass RV is hiring an RV Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain RV systems and components, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances. The role does not involve engine work. Technicians also perform scheduled maintenance, install accessories, document work, communicate with service advisors and managers, and ensure repairs meet quality standards before RVs are returned to customers.

The company offers hands-on technician training, paid certifications, web-based learning, manufacturer-led workshops, and on-the-job diagnostic and technical training. Career paths include advancement to Master Technician, Service Manager, and beyond. Compensation is $30.00–$50.00 per hour flat rate.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in mechanical, maintenance, repair, or technical repair work.
• Comfort using hand and power tools and working in varied environmental conditions, including heat, cold, heights, and noise.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Basic hand and shop tools required.

Nice To Haves

• RV experience.
• Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade.
• RVTI or RVIA certification.
• Experience with diagnostic software or systems used in RV maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues.
• Perform scheduled RV maintenance, including oil changes, battery checks, tire and brake checks, and sealant inspections.
• Install RV accessories, including hitches, slide toppers, awnings, backup cameras, satellite systems, and furniture.
• Track parts and materials used and document diagnostics, causes, and repairs in work orders.
• Communicate job status, additional needs, and timing to service advisors and managers.
• Ensure completed work meets quality standards before returning the RV to the customer.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Attend required paid company training and keep product knowledge up to date.
