About The Position

Giant Recreation World is seeking a full-time RV Service Tech to join their team in Winter Garden, FL. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various RV systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural components, and appliances. The technician will perform thorough inspections, complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications, and test systems to ensure proper functioning. Responsibilities may include installing flooring, fixing leveling systems, replacing slide-out accessories, and winterizing/de-winterizing RVs. The technician will also communicate repair needs to service advisors, maintain tools, and keep the work area organized. The company offers manufacturer and company-sponsored training programs for skill development.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of RV electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems and appliances.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time, meet productivity goals, and independently complete flat-rate work.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing devices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • High school degree or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training, RVTI certification, vocational education, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, RV service, automotive repair, marine repair, or a similar technical area.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and servicing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems or appliances.
  • Experience performing warranty repairs and pre-delivery inspections.
  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays during peak periods.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose, repair, and maintain RV electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Repair and maintain structural components and appliances in RVs.
  • Perform thorough inspections of RVs to identify issues.
  • Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications.
  • Test systems to ensure proper functioning before signing off on the job.
  • Install flooring, fix leveling systems, and replace slide-out accessories.
  • Perform winterizing and de-winterizing of RVs.
  • Communicate repair needs to service advisors.
  • Keep tools in good condition and maintain a neat and organized work area.
