RV Material Handler 1 Ops
About The Position
TRM Innovative Hearth Products is seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler 1 Ops to carry out various tasks in their busy warehouse. The Material Handler will work within the company’s warehouse, moving, handling, and storing different materials. They track stock within the warehouse, record orders, and store the company’s merchandise. Material Handler 1 Ops are regularly on their feet loading and unloading inventory, supplies, and other packages from various locations, like storage and production areas, delivery trucks, and loading docks. The Material Handler 1 Ops will work collaboratively with different customers and managers. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical and construction experience, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products, and reporting any issues with equipment directly to supervisors. The RV Material Handler 1 Ops behavior that supports IHP values.
Requirements
- Certification in forklift operation or can pass a forklift certification.
- Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery.
- Data entry, math and computer skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 25-75 pounds.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
- Able to work on foot for extended periods of time.
- Critical thinking Skills
- Fluency in English.
Nice To Haves
- Some mechanical and construction experience.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude.
- High school diploma/GED Preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment and working in a warehouse setting preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Safe utilization of staffing, equipment, and materials within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Moving, handling, and storing different materials within the warehouse.
- Tracking stock within the warehouse.
- Recording orders.
- Storing the company’s merchandise.
- Loading and unloading inventory, supplies, and other packages from various locations, like storage and production areas, delivery trucks, and loading docks.
