Material Handler 1
About The Position
Performs duties involved in material movement. Works as part of a team. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Unload trucks using forklift/Pallet jack Complete systems transactions using scanner and ERP system Label material and stock in appropriate locations Pick work orders for production Process put away for receiving Able to perform stock movements in the warehouse (Picking, put away, transfers) Assist in yearly physical inventory Delivers material in various locations of the plant Deliver KanBan material to production lines Breakdown cardboard and place in dumpster Keep outside material neat and free of debris and snow. Safely and properly operate forklift, HiLo and/or other lift equipment Dump and track steel scrap from fabrication lines Observe all company rules and policies, i.e. safety, attendance Participate and work in a team atmosphere Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship Suggest design and procedure improvements that improve quality, productivity, and reduce cost May be asked to serve on various committees Responsible for keeping work area(s) clean and free of clutter during work time and at the end of shift 5S time Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to operate forklift, HiLo and/or other lift equipment
