About The Position

PUMA is expanding its Run CATS program in North America and is seeking fast-paced individuals with a passion for PUMA, running, and life to join the team as Tech Reps. This role is responsible for driving running programming at a hyper-local level. The Tech Rep will leverage their knowledge of running to educate key PUMA accounts and partners on new product launches, motivate staff to drive sales, facilitate in-store events, and organize community running events. They will serve as the primary point of contact at the regional level and act as the eyes and ears for the brand in their respective territories. The role requires owning a territory (DC, Virginia, Maryland) to drive sales and grow brand awareness at specialty and sporting goods stores, building strong relationships with accounts, and understanding their business needs. The Tech Rep will be an expert in PUMA running products and marketing, utilize sales data for growth opportunities, and educate retail partners and consumers on PUMA technology. They will train store associates on product details, features, and benefits, develop creative engagement strategies, and create/execute running events (in-person and virtual) to increase sales and brand awareness. Collaboration with PUMA's sales, marketing, merchandising, and product teams is essential for streamlined communication and planning. The role also involves representing PUMA at marketing events like expos and races, and completing weekly/monthly reports to track progress, PUMA's growth, and gather consumer feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years Retail, sales, event, marketing, or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking & interpersonal skills both in person and virtually
  • Running retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge and passion for running, products, and industry trends
  • Entrepreneurial & self-motivated
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to pivot on a dime and react to a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Travel is required up to 75% of the time
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing
  • Working and reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Own your territory (DC, Virginia, Maryland) to help drive sales and grow brand awareness at specialty and sporting goods
  • Build strong relationships with your accounts and work closely with them to grow the brand by understanding their business and what is important to them and their customers
  • Be an expert in all things PUMA running—product & marketing
  • Utilization of sales data to look for areas of brand growth
  • Educate retail partners and consumers on PUMA technology: Responsible for training store associates on all product details, features & benefits
  • Develop creative ways to engage with and motivate our partners to keep PUMA Running front of mind
  • Create and execute new and exciting running events in person and virtually to help increase sales and brand awareness in key territories
  • Work cross-functionally with the sales, marketing, merchandising and footwear and apparel product teams within PUMA to streamline communications & planning
  • Represent PUMA at marketing events such as expos & races at both the local and national level
  • Complete weekly & monthly reports to track both your progress, PUMA’s growth, and report back from the field with consumer feedback
