About The Position

Delivers all food menu items and accurately describes them to the guests. Acts as a liaison between the servers, cocktail servers & bartenders, and chefs. Interacts with the dining room guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.

Requirements

  • Previous hospitality experience.
  • Previous food running experience.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
  • Must have good positive energy throughout the day
  • Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to move quickly
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume
  • May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
  • Exposure to cleaning materials
  • Office, Casino, Nightclub, Bar, Lounge, and/or Restaurant working environment
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and accommodate all guest needs.
  • Provide professional and exceptional service.
  • Deliver and describe all food items to guests in a timely manner.
  • Participate in table maintenance and bussing of excess tableware.
  • Maintain general cleanliness of stations and the entire venue.
  • Follow supervisors’ instructions, communicate with and support coworkers, and be a team player.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all food menus and the company.
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Communicate guest needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support team members, managers, and chefs.
  • Properly set up the runner’s station; perform side work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including: stocking the station with prescribed items and supplies.
  • Perform opening side work as directed.
  • Perform closing side work as directed.
  • Report all breakage or damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and departmental meetings.
  • Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
  • Portray a positive and professional attitude.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
  • Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members.
  • Assist with and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
