Guides guests to appropriate table as directed by the maître d’. Interacts with the restaurant guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure gracious hospitality. This role involves anticipating and accommodating guest needs, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area, and complying with sanitation standards. The host will actively take and process reservations, assist with incoming calls, and answer guest questions. Responsibilities also include checking guests' belongings, setting up the front desk area, performing side-work, and assisting with opening/closing procedures. This includes ensuring menus are printed and organized, collecting menus, and performing prescribed side-work. The host must report any breakage or damage immediately, attend daily pre-service meetings, and participate in training sessions. Learning by observing, sharing knowledge, and leading by example are key. A positive and professional attitude is essential, along with demonstrating knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and its partners. The role requires working as part of a team, providing support to fellow team members, and completing additional tasks as assigned.
