Ruby and Rail Developer
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and expertise in Ruby on Rails development. The successful candidate will be responsible for upgrading our existing applications, including Ruby, Rails, and Node.js versions, and ensuring smooth deployment on AWS infrastructure. You will work with technologies such as Node, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, and Postgres, and will need to be proficient in setting up and running applications on a MacOS environment. Strong Java skills are also beneficial for ongoing projects post-application upgrade.
Requirements
- Strong Ruby on Rails development experience.
- Proficiency with Node.js.
- Experience with AWS deployment.
- Knowledge of Docker.
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Postgres database.
- Familiarity with the MacOS operating system.
- Strong Java skills.
- Ability to work with minimal oversight.
- Experience in setting up development environments on MacOS.
Responsibilities
- Upgrade Ruby from version 2.6.6 to 3.2.
- Upgrade Rails from version 6.0 to 7.1.
- Upgrade Node.js from version 13.7 to 20.
- Manage and deploy applications on AWS infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Work with Docker for containerization, including updating outdated Docker images.
- Utilize Postgres as the database.
- Set up and run applications on a MacOS environment.
- Collaborate on projects requiring strong Java skills for application upgrades.
- Work with minimal oversight, demonstrating senior-level development capabilities.
