About The Position

This role involves partnering with the Rubber Engineering Team to develop, test, and improve rubber compounds. The engineer will support manufacturing operations by identifying process improvements, troubleshooting production issues, and driving sustainable solutions. A key aspect of the role is working directly with shop floor personnel to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. Collaboration with customers, laboratories, quality teams, and suppliers is essential for successful product development and launches. The position also entails leading or supporting continuous improvement projects aimed at waste reduction, defect minimization, and manufacturing performance enhancement. Establishing process flows, manufacturing standards, and project timelines for new products and improvements, as well as analyzing manufacturing data to implement engineering solutions for product quality, delivery, and operational excellence, are also core responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required; Materials Science or related engineering disciplines may also be considered.
  • Recent graduate to 5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, process engineering, materials engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and drive effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated and eager to spend time on the production floor working directly with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with operators, engineers, customers, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in manufacturing processes, materials development, continuous improvement, and building a long-term engineering career.
