About The Position

This role involves performing month-end close activities, supporting various accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and maintaining financial data. The position requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in an international Shared Services environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of accounting tasks while fostering positive client relationships.

Requirements

• 5+ years of RTR / General Ledger Accounting experience.
• Strong experience in MEC, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.
• SAP experience preferred.
• German language proficiency (minimum B2; C1 preferred).
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an international Shared Services environment.
• Proven ability to build positive client relationships and effectively manage challenging stakeholder situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Month-End Close activities including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support inventory accounting, fixed assets, depreciation allocation, intercompany transactions, and GL accounting activities.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to support business decision-making.
• Maintain master data and Chart of Accounts in accordance with established controls and governance standards.
• Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and within agreed timelines while maintaining compliance with internal controls.
• Participate in client meetings, process improvement initiatives, testing activities, and system implementations.
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs, desktop procedures, and operational checklists.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and proactively manage client queries, escalations, and service delivery expectations.
