Nested RT Level II Tech
About The Position
Acuren is recruiting an RT Level II Technician to perform radiographic and other nondestructive testing inspections. The technician sets up and calibrates NDT equipment, conducts tests to assess quality or detect defects, develops appropriate examination techniques, applies relevant testing criteria, interprets inspection results, and organizes and reports findings. The role also includes specialized inspections and may involve instructing or supervising others. The technician must follow applicable specifications, standards, and safety regulations, and perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Level II.
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
- Knowledge of NDT equipment.
- Experience in report writing.
Nice To Haves
- Some college preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT inspection methods.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection while adhering strictly to safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
- Organize and report test results.
- Perform specialized inspections.
- May instruct and supervise others.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
