About The Position

Assists in removal and installation of avionics electrical components. Fabricates wire harnesses for avionics and electrical systems. Performs installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems. Installs, modifies, and fabricates wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment per blueprints and engineering drawings. Maintains required logs and records for avionics work performed. Ensures work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Checks all work and ensures a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection. Reads and interprets basic blueprints and schematic diagrams. Applies knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Complies with FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two years related work experience is required, or an avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one year of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams is required.
  • Experience with installations, modifications, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components is required.
  • Experience with wire harness fabrication, terminations, and ring-out is required.
  • Experience with functional testing of avionics and electrical systems is required.
  • Ability to maintain logs and records for avionics work is required.
  • Experience complying with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety regulations is required.
