About The Position

Assists in removal and installation of avionics electrical components. Fabricates wire harnesses and performs terminations for avionics systems. Performs ring-out and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems. Installs, modifies, and fabricates wiring, electrical components, and fixtures per blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings. Maintains required logs and records for avionics work performed. Ensures work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Checks all work and ensures a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection. Reads and interprets basic blueprints and schematic diagrams for avionics installations. Applies knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Complies with FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and safety regulations.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two years related work experience is required.
An avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one year related work experience is an alternative qualification.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications is required.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Computer skills and general software knowledge are necessary.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools is required.
