About The Position

A certified or certificate eligible technician who is responsible for respiratory care given in any area of the hospital including special care units. May be assigned supervisory responsibilities when adequately prepared. This position is classified as “safety sensitive,” meaning impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others. Any associate actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even with a valid card, will be excluded from employment in this position.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Certified or eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Arkansas.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, associates, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Delivers appropriate care to patients from neonatal through geriatrics with regards to age specific considerations.
• Responsible for respiratory care given in any area of the hospital including special care units.
• Must be willing to learn cardiovascular procedures as required.
