About The Position
This RPSGT opportunity is located in Smithtown, NY, and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000. The position is available for full-time or part-time employment, with weekend night shifts. The role involves facilitating tests, collecting data, preparing equipment, recording activities, analyzing results, and adhering to proper polysomnographic procedures. This includes the use of electrodes and sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks. Responsibilities also encompass the analysis (scoring) of clinical events like respiratory and cardiac episodes, and the tabulation of final data for review. Compliance with safety control regulations and laws is also required.
Requirements
- NY PSG license and/or CRT/RT license required
- RPSGT certification preferred (NY PSG or RT license still required without RPSGT)
- Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist "RPSGT" or certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Current BCLS certification
- All required vaccinations and immunizations
