About The Position

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an RPA Developer to provide technical support, development, and advisory services for AI and RPA integration in ACC/A589 classified environments at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The role supports user-driven innovation and in-person facilitation while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, data governance, and network-specific requirements for SIPRNet and AFSCI operations. It is a hands-on development position focused on designing, prototyping, testing, refining, and deploying automation solutions that support Air Combat Command’s operational mission. The developer works with operational users to discover automation opportunities and builds functional prototypes in 2–4 week cycles. The position is measured against delivery targets of at least three user-validated prototypes and two operational transitions per quarter, in parallel with another RPA Developer. Solutions must be refined with user feedback, validated against operational data and edge cases, documented, transitioned, and supported with training and Government sustainment plans. The primary work location is Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, in Government-provided office space at a secure facility. Regular work in SCIFs and other secure spaces and access to classified environments are required. The schedule is 0800–1700 EST, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours, early or evening meetings, and increased hours during milestones, events, or exercises. Travel is currently not expected, but that may change.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on RPA solution development and deployment experience.
  • Proven track record delivering operational RPA bots from discovery through production deployment.
  • Experience with iterative development methodologies and user-centered design.
  • Secret (T3) clearance minimum, required at start.
  • UiPath Certified RPA Associate certification.
  • Microsoft Power Automate certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification meeting the DoD 8140.03 baseline.
  • Expert-level proficiency with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and Automation Cloud.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Power Automate, including cloud flows, desktop flows, and Process Advisor.
  • Strong understanding of the Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps and Power BI integration.
  • Experience with API integration, database connectivity, and data transformation.
  • Knowledge of exception handling, logging, and error recovery patterns.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for RPA deployments.
  • Ability to work with classified information up to Top Secret/SCI level and comply with OPSEC, CUI handling, classification, base access, and facility security requirements.
  • Ability to meet documented output targets, including at least three prototypes and two operational transitions per quarter and 100% documentation compliance.

  • Understanding of AI/ML integration with RPA workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workflow discovery interviews with ACC A589 personnel to identify automation opportunities.
  • Assess processes for automation potential using structured intake criteria, including inputs, decision points, data sources, and manual workload burden.
  • Design and develop RPA solutions using UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate on enterprise-approved platforms.
  • Build functional prototypes within 2–4 week cycles and maintain a development pipeline of 2–3 concurrent use cases.
  • Conduct 2–3 iterative refinement cycles with operational users before transitioning solutions.
  • Incorporate user feedback to improve bot accuracy, reliability, and usability.
  • Test bots across assigned classification levels and validate solutions against operational data and user-identified edge cases.
