About The Position

The City of Peoria Parks and Recreation Department is seeking qualified and interested individuals to provide surveying and inspection services for more than 18 miles of multi-use pathways, as well as over 29 million square feet of City Rights-of-Way, medians, basins, and municipal building sites. These services will support the City's ongoing efforts to maintain safe, accessible, and well-managed public infrastructure and recreational amenities.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalency.
  • 6-12 months of moderate previous experience required in the same or similar position.
  • Valid AZ Driver’s License required upon hire.

  • Available to work a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, typically Monday through Wednesday.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, contractors, and staff.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, tablets, and other technology required to perform job-related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Performing administrative functions, including reporting, documentation, and updating work order statuses across multiple software platforms.
  • Reviewing and verifying City-maintained landscape mapping within Geographic Information System (GIS) applications.
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, residents, and other stakeholders regarding project activities and service requests.
  • Operating city vehicles and associated equipment in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Performing other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
