About The Position

Purple Land Management is seeking an experienced Right-of-Way (ROW) Director to support and lead ROW projects in Pennsylvania. The Director will serve as a key client contact, provide ROW expertise during business development discussions, and oversee multiple projects as opportunities arise. The role combines technical ROW knowledge with leadership, communication, project planning, and project management responsibilities.

The Director will work with clients and internal teams to assess project needs, develop scopes and cost estimates, plan resources and timelines, and guide project delivery. The position also supports proposals and business development and helps ensure that teams and deliverables meet client expectations and project requirements.

Purple Land Management, LLC is a tech-enabled provider of land services for energy companies, including negotiating energy rights, title work, mineral ownership reports, and related services. Its proprietary Overdrive SaaS platform provides web-based GIS mapping and data tracking. The company is based in Fort Worth, Texas, and was founded in 2010.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience in Right-of-Way, land acquisition, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing ROW projects and coordinating project teams.
• Experience preparing or reviewing RFPs, project proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to assess project requirements, allocate resources, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business development, project management, and operational teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting ROW business development and participating in client meetings.
• Familiarity with pipeline, utility, water, or other infrastructure ROW projects.
• Established professional relationships within the Pennsylvania ROW market.
• Experience contributing to project pricing, staffing plans, and proposal development.
• Previous experience in a ROW leadership, director, or senior project management position.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client-facing meetings and business development discussions alongside Alex Huff, providing ROW expertise, recommendations, and project insight.
• Oversee multiple ROW projects from initial planning through execution, ensuring work is organized and managed effectively.
• Help identify project requirements, assess opportunities, and provide technical ROW input to support new business.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing RFPs, project scopes, cost estimates, staffing requirements, and project timelines.
• Lead, coordinate, and support ROW team members to ensure projects meet client expectations and established requirements.
• Evaluate incoming project opportunities, determine resource needs, and support project assignments and delivery planning.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders regarding project scope, progress, resource needs, and potential challenges.
• Monitor project execution and deliverables to help ensure work meets client requirements and applicable project standards.
