About The Position

At Blanton Turner we are looking for an individual to join our team that enjoys working with their hands while maintaining a strong customer service and positive, will-do attitude. The Roving Maintenance Tech is a customer-service oriented individual who is committed to providing tenants and owners with impeccably maintained properties. The roving maintenance tech will lead by example and reports the day-to-day supervision to the Commercial Facilities & Roving Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair.

Requirements

  • 2+ years general maintenance experience or equivalent training is required
  • At least two years working with the public preferred
  • Reliable transportation and insurance required
  • Familiarity with Washington State and city of Seattle Landlord-Tenant Laws helpful
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Show accountability for all work and actions.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Washington State and city of Seattle Landlord-Tenant Laws helpful

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs of building, including but not limited to: minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall, minor appliance repair and cleaning.
  • Perform unit turns including but not limited to: servicing appliances, plumbing and electrical, replace old or faulty parts, re-key locks, replace burnt out light bulbs and interior painting.
  • Address and follow up as necessary on all residents’ work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and suppliers and work with them to produce the best product and pricing for the properties.
  • Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to, residents, tenants, the Property Manager, Portfolio Manager, office staff, and vendors.
  • Complete all work in a timely and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours requests
