The Roving Maintenance Tech is a customer-service oriented individual who is committed to providing tenants and owners with impeccably maintained properties. The roving maintenance tech will lead by example and reports the day-to-day supervision to the Commercial Facilities & Roving Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair.

Requirements

2+ years general maintenance experience or equivalent training is required
At least two years working with the public preferred
Reliable transportation and insurance required
Familiarity with Washington State and city of Seattle Landlord-Tenant Laws helpful
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Show accountability for all work and actions.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs of building, including but not limited to: minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall, minor appliance repair and cleaning.
Perform unit turns including but not limited to: servicing appliances, plumbing and electrical, replace old or faulty parts, re-key locks, replace burnt out light bulbs and interior painting.
Address and follow up as necessary on all residents’ work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and suppliers and work with them to produce the best product and pricing for the properties.
Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to, residents, tenants, the Property Manager, Portfolio Manager, office staff, and vendors.
Complete all work in a timely and professional manner.
Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours requests
