About The Position

Dogtopia, a leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services, is seeking an energetic, organized, and business-minded individual to join their team as a Rover. This cross-trained role will involve assisting in all areas of the business, including functioning as a Canine Coach and Pet Parent Coordinator. The primary focus is ensuring a safe and fun play environment for dogs while upholding Dogtopia's standards for safety and customer service. The Rover will be responsible for multitasking, interacting with dogs, greeting clients, answering questions, checking dogs in and out, promoting daycare packages and memberships, and conducting dog evaluations. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and sales skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and delegation skills.
  • Committed to the success of the team and not just as an individual.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and POS systems.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service focus facing professional work history required.
  • Must love dogs.
  • Must be 18+.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-6 months in a high-volume animal care setting preferred.
  • Franchise experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and fun play environment for each pup.
  • Supervise the team to ensure all standards are being met.
  • Ensure safety and superior customer service are at the forefront of everything.
  • Assist in all areas of the business, able to jump from a playroom to the front desk with ease.
  • Care for all furry friends as if they were a part of your family.
  • Create the Most Exciting Day Ever for the pups in your playroom.
  • Interact with dogs and be always on stage.
  • Greet everyone who walks in or out of Dogtopia.
  • Answer Pet Parent questions over the phone and in person.
  • Check pups in and out of daycare.
  • Share information about our daycare packages and memberships with Pet Parents.
  • Conduct dog evaluations.
