About The Position

The Route Service Representative is responsible for safely operating a company vehicle along an established delivery route to provide timely and accurate linen service to our customers. This position loads, delivers, picks up, and transports linen carts while maintaining accurate delivery records and providing professional customer service. The Route Service Representative serves as a key point of contact with customers while on route and is expected to communicate service needs, delivery issues, or customer concerns to the District Route Manager.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being operated; Class A CDL required if applicable to the assigned route/vehicle.
  • Acceptable driving record in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and related equipment.
  • Ability to read and complete delivery documentation and follow established routes and schedules.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries throughout the workday.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to report to work according to assigned route schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous commercial driving, route delivery, distribution, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company-owned vehicle along an assigned delivery route.
  • Load and unload clean and soiled linen carts, ensuring carts and deliveries are properly identified and accounted for.
  • Complete customer deliveries and pickups accurately and on schedule.
  • Verify linen quantities and maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and route documentation.
  • Build and organize linen carts according to established par levels and customer requirements, as applicable.
  • Follow all Company procedures and applicable regulations for the safe handling and transportation of clean and soiled linen.
  • Maintain a professional and service-focused relationship with customers while completing deliveries.
  • Communicate customer requests, service concerns, route issues, shortages, or other operational needs to the District Route Manager.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned company vehicle and equipment.
  • Complete required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all Company safety policies, DOT requirements, traffic laws, and applicable transportation regulations.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, route preparation, and other operational needs as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
