DLO Evening Shift Route Service Rep
About The Position
The Route Service Representative performs basic route services for Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma in Enid, Oklahoma. The role picks up specimens, checks that requisitions are correctly completed and specimens properly submitted, and delivers specimens to designated laboratory or distribution sites using appropriate handling, storage, and transport methods to maintain specimen integrity. The representative also supports specimen packing for transport to the Core Laboratory, maintains client relationships, completes route and other administrative documentation, and follows safe-driving, vehicle-maintenance, attendance, compliance, and safety policies. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Requirements
- Proficient verbal communication with internal and external contacts.
- Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record meeting Quest/DLO Driver's Safety requirements.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients, supervisors, and peers.
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred, or commensurate work experience required.
- Ability to work overtime when required by business needs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous medical laboratory experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift.
- Perform assigned duties and processes, including tasks within demonstrated capabilities.

- Perform basic route services as required.
- Pick up specimens and verify that test requisitions are correctly completed and specimens are properly submitted.
- Deliver specimens to designated laboratory or distribution sites using appropriate handling, storage, and transportation methods, including transport containers, dry ice, and cold packs, to maintain specimen integrity.
- Establish and maintain positive client relations.
- Complete and submit administrative forms, including daily route logs, Client Concern forms, supply requisitions, and special transportation forms.
- Help pack specimens for transport to the Core Laboratory.
- Comply with safe-driving regulations and vehicle-maintenance procedures established by government agencies and company policies.
- Follow DLO policies and procedures, including attendance, compliance, and safety requirements.
- Participate in the growth and development of the department and reflect company values in all aspects of performance.
- Perform duties other than those listed in the job description when called upon.
