About The Position

The Route Sales & Delivery Driver is a local CDL Class B route representative who sells and delivers products, places orders, and merchandises products to ensure they are available on grocery store shelves. The role involves driving an assigned route, developing in-store relationships, promoting products and gaining display space, and completing daily work using handheld technology and sales software. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends, an early-morning start, and a mid-afternoon end. Compensation is a combination of base pay and commission, with a stated pay range of $47,000–$49,000.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
Ability to meet medical certification requirements; must be 21 years or older.
Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment.
Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

DSD, grocery, retail sales, delivery, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Place orders and drive additional sales by gaining display space and promoting new products.
Merchandise products, maintain display space, and rotate products.
Unload products, place products in the back room, and collect proof of delivery.
Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work.
Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain DOT rules and regulations and perform daily truck inspections.
