About The Position

UniFirst is hiring a Route Coverage Specialist (Route Sales and Service Rep) in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time position involves covering delivery routes for absent Route Service Representatives (RSRs). Responsibilities include delivering and picking up products, providing excellent customer service, resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction, and building strong customer relationships. The role requires proficiency across multiple routes, accurate record-keeping, vehicle maintenance, safe driving, and effective communication with customers and leadership. The average first-year earnings are $60,000+ with a base salary, weekly pay, and commissions/bonuses based on route volume. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends, and typically involves 45-50 hours per week with no overnights. Start times are between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Requirements

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required, with a minimum age of 21 years old.
Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including a physical exam.
A high school diploma, GED, or military service is required.
Strong customer service abilities and the ability to work independently yet maintain a team-oriented mindset.
Must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds and stay on their feet for extended periods.
Comfortable using and learning new technologies for operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Learn multiple routes to provide seamless service when an RSR is absent.
Safely load, transport, and unload clean garments and other products to customers, while also collecting soiled items.
Deliver high-quality service, resolve customer requests independently, and build strong customer relationships.
Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and ensure the safety and appearance of the assigned vehicle.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
Address customer needs and resolve service issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Effectively communicate customer feedback and potential solutions to location leadership.
