Under the supervision of operations leadership, the Route Sales Driver ensures that The ICEE Company is always represented in a professional and courteous manner. Customer service is a top priority at ICEE, with a commitment to success for customers, partners, and peers. Route Sales Drivers must develop strong relationships with store personnel and be motivated toward in-store merchandising and POS (point of sale). Daily, they are expected to deliver products, complete and rotate account inventory, complete invoices, clean machines, and replace promotional materials. Route Sales Drivers will work with minimal supervision and are required to attend weekly meetings held in their Service Center. Individuals in this role are provided with a vehicle to complete their route, uniforms, a cell phone, a tablet, and a gas card.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years of age due to DOT requirements.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Ability to lift 55 lbs. or more on a regular basis.
Occasional lifting in excess of 70 lbs. required.
Ability to drive more than 40% of the time.
Must have and wear steel-toed shoes.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years Customer Service and/or Route Driving experience.

Responsibilities

Loading/unloading the company vehicle to ensure inventory for delivery is prepared for the daily route.
Completing inventory count at the beginning and end of the shift each day.
Completing scheduled deliveries and ensuring prompt delivery of products and promotional items.
Discussing new products and promotional items with store personnel.
Ensuring proper training of ICEE equipment is provided to unfamiliar store personnel.
Cleaning machines, replenishing stock of cups/lids/straws, and freshening promotional materials.
Documenting store-provided PO # on invoices at necessary accounts.
Handling COD (cash on demand) accounts, including delivering product, receiving payment, and obtaining a money order for the proper amount minus the cost of the money order, which is turned into the Service Center manager at the end of every day.
Performing weekly vehicle checks and filling out a DVIR (daily vehicle inspection report) for DOT vehicles.
Performing assigned general warehouse duties including cleaning, organizing, rotating product, and shipping/receiving of equipment, parts, and product.
Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
