About The Position

Crystal Clean is seeking an Oil Sales & Service Representative to provide sales and services for approved waste streams at customer locations within an assigned geographic area. The role involves driving an oil tanker truck and using hoses and other equipment to load or offload oil and other approved waste streams from customer containers. The representative serves existing customers, develops new business, identifies additional service opportunities, and works toward sales and customer-development goals. The role also requires safe operation of vehicles and equipment, route and work-order planning to reduce mileage and travel time, accurate completion of paperwork, and compliance with Department of Transportation requirements and company policies. The position includes frequent driving and physical service work in varied environments. Training is provided.

Requirements

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interact with customers, sales branch employees, and other corporate departments.
Ability to operate electronic mobile devices, computers, hoses, and truck equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have or be qualified to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License and medical card with Airbrake and Tanker endorsements.
Motor vehicle record must meet or exceed company standards.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, which may include a respirator, steel-toe boots, gloves, uniform, safety glasses, reflective vest, and hard hat.
Ability to lift hoses weighing up to 40 pounds frequently and pull or drag hoses weighing up to 40 pounds each occasionally.
Ability to climb ladders frequently and perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, lifting, and twisting.
Must pass a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

Promote safe work behaviors in accordance with company safety guidelines.
Provide customer service and develop new business in an assigned geographic area.
Organize work orders to minimize mileage and travel time.
Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
Pump approved waste streams from customer containers into the truck using hoses and related equipment.
Pursue additional services with existing accounts and assess customer needs.
Present company products and services and develop new customers.
Develop sales leads for Data-Marketing.
Complete required paperwork accurately and neatly.
Maintain compliance with applicable Department of Transportation requirements.
Achieve sales quotas for total revenue and new customer development.
Follow company policies and standards, including environmental, health and safety, human resources, facility, equipment, operations, and maintenance policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
