About The Position
TOMRA is an international recycling company that is looking for a CDL-B Route Driver in Bronx, NY. The shift is from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay starts at $24/hr plus overtime. This role involves preparing and receiving documentation for deliveries/pickups, loading and unloading cargo, maintaining communication with dispatch, and ensuring good customer relations. The driver will also be responsible for lifting 25-50lbs and using a handheld device for tracking inventory and client relations.
Requirements
- 1 year of CDL B Driving experience
- Must have a "satisfactory" driving record
- Ability lift 25-50lbs.
- Knowledgeable on how to use handheld devices like smart phones or other similar devices, or ability to learn these skills
- Experience in client relations
Responsibilities
- Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service
- Loads, secures and unloads cargo
- Maintains contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
- Maintain customer relations while on route
- Lifting 25-50lbs at a time while loading and unloading trucks
- Use of handheld device to track inventory and client relations
