About The Position

Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a Route Driver in the Denver area. This role is responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from a broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations. Customers range in size from small-scale butchers, grocers, and restaurants up to large-scale food processors. The driver will operate a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, collecting materials from multiple customers along their route each day. This involves climbing in and out of the truck and operating lift equipment. Managing the route with an onboard computer (OBC) and maintaining an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes are daily tasks. The driver is responsible for the truck's cleanliness and completing a daily vehicle condition report. Exceptional customer service must be provided while adhering to all laws and regulations. The role offers the benefit of being home most nights.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Authorized to work in the US.
Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsements.
Good driving record.
Customer service skills.
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Organizational and superior time management skills.
Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations.
Ability to adapt to changes and work well with others.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting.
Experience with truck hydraulics.
