Class A Route Delivery Driver
About The Position
CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking Class A drivers with a strong commitment to customer service and safety to join our team. As a Route Delivery Driver, you will operate a company vehicle to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated locations within specified times. Your responsibilities will include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading various types of freight, both manually and with mechanical assistance. You will also be responsible for completing all required paperwork in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years of age
- 1 year of commercial driving experience
- No DUI’s or DWI’s in the past 3 years
- No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
- Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain them (renewals reimbursable)
- Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and/or a terminal as instructed by dispatch or the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point.
- Load and/or unload a wide variety of freight onto and off a company motor vehicle, at customer locations and at the terminal, with or without mechanical assistance depending on the size of freight.
