About The Position

The Route Driver will be responsible for picking up dead hogs, cattle and meat scraps from farm sites on a daily route and returning to the Blue Earth MN. The work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, with Wednesday as a clean-up day or for other tasks. The start time is flexible at 6:00 am, and work hours per day are typically 10-11 hours.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Valid Class B driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Class A driver's license preferred.
  • Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment.
  • Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location.
  • Maintains an Electronic DOT log.
  • Responsible for operating vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
  • Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules.
  • Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
  • Completes all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
  • Attends all safety meetings and may be asked to serve on the Safety Committee.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
