About The Position

The Route Driver will be responsible for picking up dead hogs, cattle and meat scraps from farm sites on a daily route and returning to the Blue Earth MN. The work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, with Wednesday as a clean-up day or for other tasks. The start time is flexible at 6:00 am, and work hours per day are typically 10-11 hours.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age.
Valid Class B driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Class A driver's license preferred.
Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment.
Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Responsibilities

Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location.
Maintains an Electronic DOT log.
Responsible for operating vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules.
Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
Completes all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
Attends all safety meetings and may be asked to serve on the Safety Committee.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
