About The Position

The Roustabout II position is responsible for supporting and at times leading crews working on oil well sites. The position is diverse and may vary on a daily basis, but has a focus on well site construction. The Roustabout II works with equipment he is qualified to operate such as backhoe, forklift, skid loader, trucks and trailers, vacuum truck, and so forth. Personnel in the Roustabout II position should have at least 2 years of field experience doing oilfield construction work. They are also expected to be able to mentor other personnel with less experience in best work practices as well as technical aspects of the job. This is not an entry level position. Requirements

At least 2 years of field experience doing oilfield construction work
Must be proficient with tools including air and electrical
General knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate equipment such as backhoe, forklift, skid loader, trucks and trailers, vacuum truck

Responsibilities

Tank installation and repairs
Dig pits and lines
General cleanup
Building tank batteries, flares, heater treaters and all associated plumbing
Set well equipment at well locations which includes cement pads and pumping units
Responsible for tie-down of pumping units and installing counter weights for balancing pumping units
Install and repair pipelines such as steel, and poly
Mentoring of less experienced personnel
Assist foreman with site supervision as needed
General yard maintenance of ground and buildings
Haul gravel for tank battery location and road upkeep
Assisting with daily reports and invoicing on computer
