About The Position

This position is responsible for operating the rough cut machinery, maintaining the machinery, keeping accurate documentation, and handling material. The role involves operating Waterjet/Combi-Cut and saw machinery, performing quality checks, interpreting blueprint drawings, and setting up cutting machinery. Additionally, the operator will manage documentation for received, moved, scrapped, and quality-verified material, conduct visual inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, and operate an overhead crane and forklift. The role also includes maintaining a clean work area, cross-training on multiple equipment types, and performing other duties as assigned by management. Requirements

  • Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation

  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
  • Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift
  • Employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the machinery (Waterjet/Combi-Cut, saw) as well as monitor and verify it is operating correctly at all times
  • Perform quality checks as required
  • Interpret blueprint drawings and sketches to plan
  • Responsible for set-up and operation of cutting machinery
  • Perform all required documentation and organization for material received, moved, scrapped, and quality verified
  • Responsible for the visual inspection of equipment with complex parts, preventative maintenance, as well as area upkeep and cleanliness
  • Operate overhead crane and forklift
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Cross-train on multiple types of equipment
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management
