About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all guests receive a Five Star Experience by embodying and maintaining the Brand DNA in all aspects of the dining experience. The Food Runner proactively approaches and acknowledges guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner, escorts them, and offers chair assistance. They are responsible for serving and articulating all courses, possessing a full knowledge of all offerings and preparation methods. The role also involves assisting guests with their departure, completing assigned side work, taking food orders, entering them into the Point of Sale System, and efficiently executing food delivery to tables while maintaining the overall guest experience. Additionally, the Food Runner provides bottled water service, presents menus, places appropriate silverware, fires appropriate courses, clears all courses, and validates guest satisfaction throughout the meal. They also take dessert orders, make and serve coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino, and latte, and assist the dining team with all aspects of the service script. Maintaining professionalism on the phone and in the dining room, keeping a clean and organized station, and conscientiously using materials and time are also key aspects of the role. Familiarity with pertinent ABC laws and participation in required meetings are expected. Due to fluctuating operational demands, employees are expected to assist others as needed.

Requirements

  • Busboy / Food Runner for at least two years
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Successfully passed the menu test
  • Successfully passed the practical service test
  • Ability to communicate effectively to ensure all objectives, criteria, and goals are clearly understood and accomplished to the desired standard
  • Must be enthusiastically proficient in the proper pronunciation of Food and Beverage offerings and preparations
  • Point of Sale Terminal experience
  • Successfully complete the Talent plus rating process
  • Successfully complete the Verbal and written menu test
  • Successfully complete the Practical service test
  • Energetic with a strong ability to display enthusiasm, professionalism, passion and energy
  • On-going certification and training will be part of the requirements

  • Taking food orders including a full articulate knowledge of all offerings and preparation methods
  • Placing food orders into the Point of Sale System
  • Efficient execution of food delivery to the guest table and maintenance of the overall guest experience

  • Participate in all meetings as required – Pre-Shift, training sessions, etc.
  • Ensure proper supplies are on hand at all times in order to effectively service the guest
