About The Position

The 2027 Gates Innovation in Engineering Program is a two-year project-based program offering the opportunity to work in one or more of Gates’ Development & Technical Centers and Production Facilities across the US. Assignments will span multiple facilities and/or functions to increase Gates’ knowledge and development. Program participants will join Gates’ engineering team and innovate in the science of motion performance, contributing to efficient and effective components and systems for the industrial and automotive worlds. The program aims to accelerate professional development through project-based business assignments, providing diverse engineering and manufacturing experience. We are seeking motivated, ambitious, forward-thinking, and open-minded individuals ready to start their career.

Requirements

  • Current B.S. or M.S. student in Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Expected Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or Co-Op experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work as a contributing member of a fast-paced engineering team.
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to learn.
  • Geographically mobile.
  • Prior experience using Engineering software (CAD/CAM).
