About The Position

Insperity is seeking a Rotational Data Analytics Intern to complete varied work assignments, projects, and activities that build the knowledge and skills needed to perform at a professional level. The intern receives training and mentorship while working on projects relevant to Insperity’s current business needs and opportunities.

The role involves working with business stakeholders across the enterprise—including ITS, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and GPO—to understand priorities for market, competitive, and customer insights. The intern will contribute to research and analysis, develop reports and executive briefs, communicate findings and implications, and support summary analysis and reporting on enterprise priorities. Assignments and department objectives are specified by the rotation manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Actively pursuing or have obtained a bachelor's degree.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Skills in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and data analysis.
• Ability to convey information derived from data sets to stakeholders at all levels.
• Working knowledge of database programs, data manipulation, and customized report development.
• Functional understanding of data analysis concepts associated with unstructured data.
• Analytical, statistical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Project management skills and experience managing multiple projects and activities efficiently and on time.
• Basic presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience using customer relationship management software and ability to learn other application programs as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
• GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Apply current subject-area knowledge to work assignments, meet deadlines, follow procedures and policies, and use data and resources to support projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate across functions to solve business problems, support priorities and deadlines, communicate progress, recommend improvements, and escalate issues or risks as appropriate.
• Pursue self-development and effective working relationships by sharing knowledge, seeking and responding to feedback, adapting to change, and learning from difficulties and feedback.
• Contribute to projects and department objectives as specified by the rotation manager.
• Consult with business stakeholders across ITS, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and GPO to understand priorities for market, competitive, and customer insights.
• Design, conduct, and analyze research to address priority enterprise insight needs.
• Recommend project designs for information needs involving multiple phases or methodologies.
• Develop reports and executive briefs from data analysis, and consult with stakeholders to share findings and implications.
• Support summary analysis and reporting of insights on enterprise priority topics.
• Support teams with data collection and analysis as prioritized by department leadership.
• Attend events connecting interns and associates across Insperity functional areas.
• Provide ongoing feedback on improvements and upgrades to the internship program.
