About The Position
Mixes chemicals and operates or tends machines to dye fabric, ensuring correct shading of fabric. This role involves operating a dyeing host system, entering data, weighing and mixing chemicals, performing visual inspections, adjusting machine settings, interpreting color data, troubleshooting dye problems, and performing housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to operate a tugger or forklift.
- Certification to operate these units will be required.

Responsibilities
- Operates the dyeing host system that mixes the dyes and chemicals for the dyeing process.
- Enters data such as the batch ticket information and formula identifications into the dyeing host system.
- Weighs and safely mixes chemicals for dyeing process according to product specifications.
- Performs visual inspections of the machine and fabric to insure proper processing.
- Adjusts machine settings and chemicals.
- Reads and interprets data from the Color Eye to ensure that the fabric has been dyed to the correct shade and adjusts chemicals for correct shading.
- Troubleshoots and corrects causes of off –shade dye problems.
- Notifies supervisor or maintenance when equipment malfunctions.
- Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
