About The Position

This role ensures system integrity, compliance, and the safety of facility equipment by improving the performance and reliability of rotating equipment. Project planning, teamwork, and evaluation skills are key to success in this role, with safety being of utmost importance. The position is responsible for performing sophisticated technical assignments that ensure system integrity, compliance, facility equipment maintenance, and process operations support. They will troubleshoot and solve complex technical or operational problems, likely being consulted when problems arise. This role will also assist with the development and implementation of maintenance programs for rotating equipment in assigned facilities, participate in project planning, and collaborate with company partners to guarantee accurate and available data. Additionally, they will read, understand, and evaluate engineering design documents, contracts, and agreements, and adhere to all policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with equivalent experience or Associates degree and a minimum eight (8) years’ experience in oil & gas industry
  • Experience with Low and Medium voltage electric motors, reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors and pumps
  • Knowledge of installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Must be willing to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Must be willing to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Must be willing to work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or engineering and a minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty field
  • Experience with Vibration Analysis/Testing Category 1,2,3 or higher
  • Understanding of API 618 pulsation analysis requirements and experience applying them
  • Experience with Fleet-level maintenance and reliability program
  • Knowledge of equipment health monitoring
  • Technical training facilitation, material development and root cause failure analysis training experience
  • Equipment sizing and selection experience
  • General rotating equipment experience (high-speed reciprocating compression, gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, pumps, turbo expanders)
  • Experience using the following tools and software towards equipment maintenance, reliability, performance analysis, sizing, selection: Maximo, Windrock Analyzers, Resonance Analyzers, OSIsoft PI, Caterpillar Gas Engine Rating Pro (GERP), Ariel performance software
  • Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) certification
