About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Mechanic to support the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and other rotating equipment. This position is based full-time in Pasadena, TX and requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of mechanic experience working on rotating equipment
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, and turbines
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and repair documentation
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
  • Must be a team player and willing to assist in training junior mechanics
  • Ability to supply and use basic mechanic tools and measuring devices required for assigned work
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol screening, and background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • NCCER Millwright certification preferred
  • Trade school mechanic certification considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform unit disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and accurate collection of technical inspection data for repair proposals
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair various types of rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, and turbines
  • Complete maintenance and repairs according to OEM specifications and customer requirements
  • Prepare and complete service documentation, inspection reports, and final repair reports
  • Maintain detailed daily work records and communicate findings clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
  • Disassemble complex rotating equipment and document failure modes and “as received” conditions
  • Assist with cleaning and preparation of parts for NDT and PMI examination
  • Perform dimensional and runout inspections on components using precision measuring devices
  • Provide written repair recommendations, replacement part requirements, and work instructions for other crafts
  • Perform quality inspections on manufactured, repaired, and customer-supplied components prior to final assembly
  • Clean and prepare components for final assembly and complete assembly per OEM, ASME, API, or customer specifications
  • Complete photo documentation and visual inspections of incoming equipment and spare parts
  • Maintain shop equipment and ensure housekeeping standards support a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and instructions at all times
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
