The Rotating Equipment Engineer will develop long-term strategies for plant rotating equipment, including pumps, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, and hydraulic valve systems. This role involves building asset maintenance strategies, maintaining ITPM plans per RAGAGEP, and updating engineering specifications. The engineer will analyze potential rerates and upgrades to enhance throughput and reliability, and provide recommendations for critical equipment such as GE Frame 5, Turbo Generators, and positive displacement compressors. Responsibilities also include applying life cycle value analysis to repair/replace decisions, guiding spare part strategies, and providing input to maintenance on equipment repairs. The role requires leading troubleshooting efforts with operations and other engineering functions, conducting equipment performance testing, and delivering turnaround recommendations and planning input for critical machinery. Additionally, the engineer will support capital projects by providing expertise in rotating equipment during design reviews and construction, documenting savings from reliability improvements, leading commercial partnerships with suppliers, and conducting FMEA studies to improve onstream availability. The position also involves documenting failure root causes, monitoring KPIs for proactive issue resolution, participating in the management of change process, and interacting with other departments to complete assignments while promoting a safe work environment.
