About The Position

The Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer will support a multi-discipline Project Management Team (PMT) providing engineering and construction oversight across LNG export and liquefaction facility projects. This role spans the full project lifecycle, including FEED support, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness. The position is primarily site-based with occasional travel to a Houston engineering office during early project phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• 10+ years of experience as a Rotating Equipment Engineer
• Experience within LNG, gas processing, or similar process industries required
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment including compressors, gas turbines, pumps, seals, and lubrication systems
• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and plant maintenance philosophies
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, ISO)
• Understanding of LNG regulations and safety requirements
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of EPC contractor activities, ensuring safe and compliant execution of work
• Monitor installation of rotating equipment to ensure adherence to design specifications, industry standards, schedule, and budget
• Support commissioning and startup by reviewing performance data and identifying improvement opportunities
• Respond to RFIs, NCRs, and Field Change Documents from internal stakeholders and contractors
• Support Management of Change processes, ensuring all updates are properly reviewed and documented
• Assist with regulatory inquiries and compliance-related activities (FERC, PHMSA, etc.)
• Participate in model reviews, PHA/HAZOPs, and other safety reviews
• Review mechanical design drawings and specifications for compliance with project requirements
• Provide technical guidance on equipment selection, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning
