About The Position
A private family based in Miami, with regular time also spent in New York, is seeking two experienced ROTA Nannies for their 4-month-old daughter. This is a 1 week on, 1 week off rotational schedule, offering full coverage while allowing dedicated time off between rotations. Prior ROTA experience is required. The family has a preference for Portuguese speaking candidates for at least one of the two positions, as they would like their daughter to grow up speaking Portuguese. The second position is open to both Brazilian and non-Brazilian candidates. Candidates must have prior experience working in an ultra-high net worth or high-profile household environment as well as in a ROTA position. This is a fly-in, fly-out friendly role, open to Florida based candidates as well as those based in the East Coast and Midwest willing to travel for rotations.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in an ultra high net worth or high profile private household required
- Strong infant-care background with excellent knowledge of feeding, sleep schedules, routines, and developmental milestones
- Prior ROTA nanny experience required
- Preference for Portuguese speaking candidates, open to non Portuguese speaking candidates
- Mature, experienced candidates with a calm, discreet demeanor preferred
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries within a private household
- Comfortable with frequent travel and last minute logistics
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
- Swim capable
- CPR certified
- Full legal eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong verifiable references
- Comfortable in a home with pets
Nice To Haves
- Newborn care specialists with strong nanny experience are welcome to apply, though the family is prioritizing candidates geared toward long term, ongoing childcare as the child grows, not solely infant focused care
Responsibilities
- Anticipate the child's needs and keep all baby-related items organized and prepared
- Maintain consistency and structure across rotational handoffs with the co-nanny
- Travel with the family as needed, including being ready to pack and unpack quickly with the diaper bag always prepared
- Maintain a calm, low key, discreet presence, reading the household and stepping back to allow the family privacy as needed
- Work collaboratively with other household staff while maintaining clear responsibility for the child's care
- Be comfortable around household pets
