About The Position

PlayPower is seeking a motivated individual to fill an evening shift rope assembler position at their Rotomold facility in New Berlin. This role offers the opportunity to work 35 hours and be paid for 40, with pay starting at $21.50/hr. The evening shift runs from 2pm to 9pm. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent training.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand measuring tools.
  • Ability to count and ability to measure equipment using a tape measure.
  • Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Must have knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Must be able to lift a maximum 51 lbs. on average during a normal workday.
  • Must be able to operate computer programs which pertain to job.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must be able to work as a team, and independently.
  • Must be able to operate computers.
  • Must be willing to complete forklift training.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
  • Must be able to work as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to complete all tasks by the due date of the work order or production report.
  • Prepare materials by measuring to specifications, cutting, and gathering.
  • Assemble components per drawing and/or installation instructions by determining the appropriate sequence of operations.
  • Focus on quality and verify specifications by checking completed components.
  • Keep equipment operational by performing preventative maintenance and contacting the Maintenance Department as needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain assembly department appearance by ensuring the work area is clean and in proper order.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock.
  • Locate, pack, and transfer purchased materials by pulling and verifying materials and supplies per pick ticket, packaging, and delivering them to required departments.
  • Contact supervisor when parts are needed.
  • Follow all company rules, procedures, and regulations.
  • Recognize and eliminate waste.
  • Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Participate or assist in Kaizen events, meetings, and contribute ideas in developing a continuous improvement Lean Enterprise.
  • Assist all customers (internal and external).
  • Maintain compliance to environmental standards by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested.
