This orientation aims to familiarize the participant with the Host Organization's mission, brand tenants, clientele and guests, market area, significant historical identify, system networks, and essential rules and regulations. Both markets (Palm Beach and East Hampton) attract a loyal, high-value guest that requires an intense, yet refined level of service and familiarity. Our goal is to ensure the participant's seamless integration into this environment by providing a thorough understanding of the area, location, history, as well as the pertinent policies and procedures of the department and company and understanding and adherence to all Forbes standards. Our mission statement and brand tenants align the standard of service and sense of place in all interactions with our guests. Palm Beach and the Hamptons is a location that is synonymous with luxury and affluence. The Colony and Hedges Inn has maintained a successful presence for generations in these two locations. The participant will gain a clear overview of the organization's operations in these markets and the loyal clientele that frequent our resorts. The participant will learn the scope of the organization's activities, the history, mission and tenants as well as the significance of the division and departments they are training in. The participant will take part in orientation with the property and be introduced to supervisors and mentors they will interact with throughout their program. Initial training offered to all new members will be scheduled and required documentation will be completed. All new-hire training will be completed in the first 30 days, to include mandatory HR/FB required certifications and training. In addition, all participants will be introduced to Forbes standards and be expected to maintain these in all interactions.
