About The Position

At Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), the Rooms Controller helps provide Owners and guests with memorable vacation experiences in a supportive, friendly, and beautiful work environment. The position handles room assignments and reservation-related requests, supports arrivals and check-in procedures, and provides professional, prompt guest service while following company standards and safety procedures.

Requirements

Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
Able to reach overhead and below the knees and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
Able to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
May be required to undergo background and drug screening, subject to company policy and applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
Review, track, and accommodate room and check-out change requests when possible.
Perform duplicate reservation checks and block rooms.
Confirm reservations and cancellations.
Notify appropriate staff when guests are waiting for an available room.
Organize and coordinate check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
Review late check-out requests and approve them according to occupancy.
Welcome and greet guests, anticipate their needs, and address them.
Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
Contribute to team goals.
Follow company policies and safety procedures.
